Game #11: Mean Girls

This Game is so Fetch

Some of you may not remember this, but there was a time when Lindsay Lohan was an actress. A very popular one.

Not only that, but she was a member of a cadre of teen actresses who specialized in doe-eyed, innocent-but-sexy, doesn't-know-they're-popular girls. People thought of her as a ROLE MODEL. Her star power couldn't be denied. Cast her as your lead and your movie was guaranteed to make money.

Now, ten years after this gem debuted in theaters, Lindsay's legacy is lost to us. Time has confirmed what we knew about this movie from the beginning: the real star of "Mean Girls" is Tina Fey, whose razor sharp dialogue now roams free throughout the internet, corralling disparate pieces of pop culture together to breed in meme farms across the web.

How much of this movie do you have memorized? The answer may get you wasted.

Game #10: The Maltese Falcon

"The Stuff that Dreams are Made of..."

Fun fact: When you google image search "Maltese Falcon", the first thing that comes up is a dozen or so pictures of this yacht.

Because of course that's what I was looking for. That yacht is WAY more influential than the 1941 film starring Humphrey Bogart. Why would I be interested in some stupid black-and-white movie that delves into the nature of human greed? Why would I want to see one of THE movies that defined Noir as a genre?

YACHTS. That's what I'm about.

It's tough to say what would make you sicker, though: Sailing, or this drinking game.

Game #9: South Park

Gonna Have Ourselves a Time

Picture
South Park changed the world of mainstream animation forever. American cartoons have been associated with infantile impulses, the low-brow, labeled the introduction to storytelling as opposed to one medium among many. Trey Parker and Matt Stone managed to use these stereotypes to prove that yes, cartoons can be all of these things. They can also effectively explore societal trends, market to an ADULT audience, and still retain the stylistic elements that make animation fascinating. ANYTHING can happen in South Park, but nothing outside the scope of a human's imagination. The creativity and biting wit of the show is what kept audiences coming back for more, and what STILL makes it one of the ballsiest shows on television.

Or, I dunno, maybe people just like the poop jokes. Immature dicks.
